In 2016, I was a wife, new mom, and junior Biglaw associate with over $670,000 of debt and a negative $342,000 net worth.
By the end of 2021, my husband and I had paid off almost $500,000 of that debt (the total of our student loans) and now only have our mortgage remaining.
I’ve since left the law to focus on helping lawyers master their mindset and their personal finances and unlock the power that comes with having complete control of their money.
In this podcast, I’m giving you the knowledge you need to create more freedom in your life by improving your mindset and managing your money better.

It’s so common for people to spend more as they make more. This is called lifestyle inflation, and it’s the main reason so many lawyers live paycheck to paycheck. Left unchecked, lifestyle inflation will block any chance you have of becoming financial independent and getting the control of your time you’re seeking. In this episode, we’ll talk more about what lifestyle inflation is, why it’s such a problem, and how to avoid it. Head to https://www.rhothomas.com/31 for the full episode show notes.

We often put a lot of weight on financial numbers that don't give any true indication of how we're doing financially. We learn pretty early on to value these numbers because they're "important." But we often ignore the one that matters most. In this episode, we're going to talk about the two most common irrelevant numbers we tend to focus on and the one that actually matters.
